97. Both organizations were on fire creatively and that was the only year I could tolerate ECW

98.

Austin, Rock, Goldberg, Wolfpack, DX, The liberation of the Flock, titties everywhere...ECW late-nights on WADL.

I was in middle school and ALL the boys watched so we were going crotch-chop, 2 sweet, backpack stunner, People's Elbow crazy all over the halls.

Malcolm in the middle on sundays, and RAW IS WAR on monday nights.

Smackdown was just as piff.

Even suinday night heat was dope.

The Swamp
1998

Wolfpac
Goldberg streak leading up to beating Hogan on Nitro
Nash who was my favorite in WCW at the time taking the belt off of Goldberg

Austin goes to a whole different universe
Plus the fukkery he had with McMahon
Rise of The Rock as a face then the corporate champ
DX going to a different level after Mania
Kane/Undertaker/Mankind fukkery

1998 for me too. I was in middle school, and everyone was repping a stable. It was pretty wild. Everyone was watching too. No better feeling than homeroom on Tuesday discussing what happened on Nitro and RAW.

Rock and Austin blowing up. Wolfpack vs Hollywood was the gang wars in middle school. EcW i had just found on a random channel at 2am one night while staying with my granny for a weekend. Bam Bam Bigelow had just thrown Spike Dudley in the crowd the week before which looked like anarchy to a 10 year old me. My family just got internet and i found 411mania and Larry Csonka:rip: who introduced me to the Kawada vs Misawa feud with his AJPW history write ups. That led to my older brother buying Virtual Pro Wrestling 64 for me from the local game/comic store. All my fandom converged to the point I was in for life.
