I thought it was nas, but the new Yorker joint deaded it for me. it was a slight chance that it could have all been a ruse, but at that point, for what?

technically, I guess it still could all be a big joke, but, again, for what?

heard paul Rosenberg was at the show. if dude gets signed and placed within that shady/aftermath machine, id be good w/ it. I just want some more new lyricists to balance the mainstream. i'll start with one.

he doesn't sound like Nas at all.

Wait what? REALLY??? Dudes voice sound like old 'smoke too many blunts gravel' nas, his flow is heavily influenced, his rhyme schemes are heavily influenced, his subject matter and approach is heavily influenced, and his diction is heavily influenced. Don't kid yourself, this ain't a case of dude just happened to have a similar voice due to some genetic quirk. He is an undeniable clone biter.

Yeah Tamron Hall was in the house looking better in person than she does on TV. That was the highlight.

The guy is good and can definitely rhyme, that’s the best thing I can say. The blatant biting and him playing it off like he really didn’t graph Nas is disingenuous and corny. I just can’t support it. When he changes his voice and stop referencing Nas and shyt maybe I will listen, but until then fukk this guy.
I don’t care how many old school artists he mentions and says he reveres. You weren’t there, stop acting like you were and rep an era you were a toddler in.
I dont mind him repping a bygone era but dap everything else you said... I will let it go when dude changes it up, till then naw homie i cant see past the biting.

Ehh personally think 85% of Eminems beats suck. As for a collab both are past their primes by a 10 year stretch, and eminem hasnt release an album i liked since 8 mile... so them doing a collabo now wouldnt be anything significant... Nas and Eminem jumping on a track together back in like 98 when nas was on top of the world and eminem was making a name for himself woulda been epic... then again maybe not... nas and canibus song from that time period was so so...

but point being is not really around the collab, just saying eminem came out the gate an AZ/Nas clone, never doing a verse with him, and then signing someone who cloned his style would just be cheazy

It’s half reverence but also half trolling to. Yeah I believe he likes 80s/90s shyt but yo, come at it from that angle. He acts like he is from that era. The way he talked/acted in-between songs just came off mad fake and try hard to me.

But whatever, I can admit my ill will is probably connected to me feeling bamboozled.

People wanted the 90s New York sound back and here came Droog, Bronson, Joey Badass and Bishop Nehru

Cats wanted that 90s West Coast feel, here come Mustard and YG

There's a sign at the door - no bitin allowed
And if you didn't read it I suggest you do so
Or you'll be stranded, just like Caruso.
