She got mad when she realized he has a manipulative personality, and he's been getting away with it for years and fooling everyone around him.

There was nothing indicative or even stated about him being manipulative for years... she was mad he was manipulating her to protect his son......

While there's nothing that indicates he was manipulative for years, he is single handily responsible for multiple members of a family being murdered, one of them being her client and he knew this all along while leading her on.

She's supposed to have sympathy for someone like that?

Oh... We must have watched 2 different versions.... in the one I watched, the mob boss blew the families up.. not him.... but let me ask you this... you got kids? Did you see Charlie's face when he found out? He got it.... Did you see the detective's face when Charlie broke it to her.... she understood for real

The mob boss blew the families up because he orchestrated the events leading up to it to protect himself and his son. They sat outside of the police precinct shortly after the crime, prepared to do the right thing and turn his son in for the crime and the very moment he realizes his own life was in jeopardy, he switched up.

This was never about protecting his son, he was always out to protect his own ass.

You juelzing like a motherfukka.....he was about to turn his son in until he learned that the father of the kid he hit would kill him for it.... that's the entire theme of the show.... a dad doing whatever to protect his son.. and if he was so worried about his own ass, why did he take the blame, or tell the lawyer chick to say it was him instead of his son? I see you didn't answer the part about having kids.....

I don't have kids but that's not really relevant here because you're calling the lawyer, who doesn't have kids, self righteous for not empathizing with a man that is responsible for her client and his family being murdered not to mention he's dating her while knowing all of this.

He only took the blame once he was forced into a corner and the mob boss drew the conclusion that he was responsible after the gas station fiasco, (which led to yet another innocent person being murdered). If he wanted to protect his son, why not simply take the blame then and turn himself in for the crime when they were at the police station?

It is completely relevant..... cause, you wouldn't understand what sacrifice truly meant unless you had some... even the crime boss made a statement in the show that it freed him in a fukked up way when his son died, because now he truly gives absolutely less fukks than he did before to maintain his family.....
