I didn't see Lawrence of Arabia mentioned. You simply can't make a movie like this no more it has in my opinion the greatest cinematography of all time. Acting and script writing are top notch. The only issue is that it can get a little boring at times and obviously action isn't over the top. But this pre CGI.
