but come on bruh...that's all instincts by a WR. You see a pass and your first instinct is to catch it. I can't fault em for that.

Murray threw it TOO low

I saw Brian Westbrook down himself on the 1-yard line to keep the clock running rather than score a TD before. I've seen Ronnie Brown throw the ball away on a failed Wildcat run. Instincts or not, be aware of the game situation :manny:

Why does the QB get blamed for not spiking it/being aware of the clock but the WR doesn't?

It all comes down to Richt for not spiking the ball, but still...the WR should have been aware of the situation and just deflected the pass.

i don't blame either of them. its all on richt. he made the wrong call, period. as far as the WR catching the ball, that's his job. if richt didn't want his WR's catching tipped passes short of the goal line, then he should learn some clock management skills.

Jesus Christ, 'Bama's running game don give a fukk :mindblown:
:wow:

Georgia don't deserve shyt with that clock management at the end :rudy:

Wish Bone's son and Yeldon were galloping all over Georgia. The 'Bama ground attack vs. the Notre Dame run defense could be intriguing :ohhh:

But I don't see how Notre Dame is gonna score :manny:

b/c his instincts came into play in those milliseconds. richt had a good 10 seconds to make a decision.

It's different if you have the ball in your hand to react like Westbrook and brown did than a pass coming to you tho

but i guarantee you in those situations, coaches told them to get rid of the ball if the original play isn't there and to stop the clock. i've never heard of a coach telling his WR NOT to catch a pass.

Yep. And even Yeldon slid down and stayed in bounds on that 3rd down play... and he's just a damn freshman. It's like those Georgia players have no football IQ:scusthov:

Breh, this should be common sense. A college receiver should know that the clock doesn't stop when you don't have a timeout and don't have a first down. How else would the clock stop?
