The government killed 2 birds with one stone: made quick £100billion in 3years whilst getting the needed workforce - to work in areas where there are shortages. And with that - they boosted the economy.

The UK needed this due to Brexit & this option provided a better alternative than the freeloaders from EU who come in empty handed & are also entitled to social welfare - since this wave of immigrants aren’t entitled to anything whilst injecting the much needed cash into the economy.

They stopped it cos they have reached the specified quota & this useful idiot & his big mouth didn’t influence the decision. The UK is a police country & the government is aware of everything.
