I would argue that a lot of heads are very open to new stuff. Perhaps too open.

If I wasn't open to the new school, I wouldn't have a Rocky avi. Rocky aint perfect, but there are amazing aspects to his music.

99% of these new nikkas running around have nothing amazing about them. They're just placeholders

Thugga is his grandson musically

The attention to melody, and vocal layers is something thugga does different from most sing rappin nowadays
His focus on a cadence that that shows minimal clarity and acts as a sorta "wordless" instrument is pretty dope

Thug is a very innovative artist no doubt. What he does is very difficult. I like him best of all the new jacks (Travis scott, Kendrick, Cole, rich homie, etc...)

TBH tho, I don't listen that much to this kind of "hip-hop" so yeah, this is an instance in which it kind of sounds the same to me.

There isn't anybody in the game that can scat sing/rap like he can. The different melodies, flows and rhythms are basically on another level to what everyone else is doing.
