I watched it a few times myself and Westbrook did nothing unforgivable on the play ... it's just a well designed play executed perfectly. The timing:wow: ... the way the ball-handler sharply went right the same time as Parker did his hesitation on the cut ...Westbrook naturally flashed to the ball-handler's side thinking Parker went back, as Russ had to, cuz you don't wanna be late on the last shot of the game. ... and Russ only looked at the ball-handler for a split-second... unlucky for OKC it happened to be the exact same split second of the ball-handler's move right and Parker's hesitation....

WRONG. If you're going over the top of the screen you cannot lose eye contact of the guy you're guarding.

:what:

You must have never played organized basketball a day in your life if you don't think Russel did anything wrong on that play.

First thing you teach kids playing basketball is to never lose sight of your man and the ball. (especially when you're playing man to man) This nikka completely lost where Parker was, and you saying there's nothing forgivable about his actions on that play?

WRONG. If you're going over the top of the screen you cannot lose eye contact of the guy you're guarding.

Respecting Parker's speed made this mistake happen.

Imagine it.... you see Parker running the baseline behind a couple of players, and you follow. ....Then on the left side of your peripheral vision, you see the ball-handler cut to the side of the floor that Parker was running away from (and you know they're trying to get Parker the ball) ...now back on your right peripheral, you notice Parker hasn't come out from behind those two other players screening you (OH shyt! HE FLASHED BACK OUT BEHIND ME FOR THE JUMPER! I CAN'T BE LATE!) ....but Parker just sat hidden behind those players for a half second before continuing his cut, which fukked Sabo up.

Hey a bunch of factors just came together perfectly at the same time for the Spurs, and for Sabo to look stupid. Timing, bro. But it happens. It wasn't a low-low basketball IQ mistake. It's forgiveable.

Timing - it's the reason the best hitter baseball's had in decades went down looking on a fastball over the plate to end the World Series.:manny:

He wasn't watching his man

You can't be watching your man and end up 15 feet away from literally everybody and the opposite side of the court from your own man
