That was the original plan according to one of the guys who created Kaldur but they couldn't because the network was worried about having a gay character in a kid's show.

But he wasnt....

He was a simp tho.... :heh:

I truly was convinced he was enraged by his ex dying and went vader on them... :heh:

the show just did it....
:ohhh::picard::scust::snoop:

Tried to tell folks DC been embracing (forcing) that agenda for years now.

Mama Manta IS a cac Atlantean .. she's in this week's episode

Kaldur'ahm is Aqualad, for most of its early days the leader of the Team. He is the protege of Aquaman, the King of Atlantis. He is the son of the villain Black Manta and an Atlantean woman called Sha'lain'a. He was raised by her and his step-father Cal Durham, who he believed was his father.

Physical appearance
Sha'lain'a is a tall, Atlantean female with an abundance of wavy, golden hair, which reaches her waist. She has a set of visible gills across her neck, common among residents of Shayeris, and a tanned skin tone. Her attire consists of a green, two-piece dress that exposes her midriff. Her dress is accessorized with a stream of gold around the waist, as well as a band of violet and indigo stones that extend across the lower and upper parts of the dress.

History
Early life
Sha'lain'a was a native of Shayeris, noted for her golden hair, and skin that was almost as golden. She fell in love with Calvin Durham, a henchman of Black Manta originally sent to infiltrate Atlantis. Calvin abandoned his mission and married Sha'lain'a. They raised a son, Kaldur'ahm,[2] whose biological father was actually Black Manta, whom Sha'lain'a met with nine months before Kaldur'ahm's birth.[3]

Not surprised he was gay it's DC. And Dc doesn't like having a lot of Black male characters that are straight and sexually available like a Nightwing

Because who does DC have? Most black males in universe are either a robot (cyborg),severely underdeveloped,or poorly utilized( John Stewart ). If their even used at all.

Marvel annoys me with the shyt they do, but at least they do something with black panther and bishop sometimes, DC doesn't even try. It seems like if your not a part of the Superman, Batman or Flash mythos you might as well not even exist. Which comes across as lazy to me.

Honesty thats the decision making that's fukked them in the long term. I know not having the rights is the reason, but marvel diversified beyond the X-Men and made the avengers a hit. Batman meanwhile is their golden goose and Gets used everywhere (although lacking cameos in the various tv shows over the years) to the point that it might as well be the batman family and the DC universe.

Pretty much. It's sad though because DC has a lot of characters I would like to see front and center. But seems like all of their storytelling energy goes into The Big 3 and the people surrounding them.

I would love to see Cyborg with better stories even though I don't consider him a male. I'd love to see an Icon story.
Vixendefinitely needs to be used more considering how powerful she can be. I'd like to see more good original black characters created in general for DC. I know it's not going to happen though, that's why I don't support their shyt anymore :yeshrug:

Wolverine was the Batman equivalent like this for Marvel. Nowadays, it's Deadpool, Iron Man, Capt America and Spidey(s). Hell, even Superman and Wonder Woman are underutilized by DC in comparison. Never mind Mr. Terrific, John Stewart, Hotspot, Firestorm (with Jason), and Static. And I still believe erasing/reconning Cyborg from the Titans was an awful idea, too.
