Neither of them could guard the side to side shifty crossover which is why guards like A.I. and Damon Stoudamire was giving MJ work and Pippen was getting crossed out his shoes by G-Hill and Kobe.

There’s a reason Dirk gave Pippen 50 points at that camp as a teen. Pippen never guarded anyone 7-feet with elite shooting ability with a crossover.

It’s a difference between guarding them and guarding mfs posting up to bring the ball like Mark Jackson and Gary Payton and nikkas with weak ass handles like Drexler and Reggie Miller.

I agree with you but Iverson dropping 30 is a bad example. I feel like early on in his career, Inversion dropping 30 at times was a lot of 9 - 26 FG with lots of freethrows at times. The Bulls didn’t have a small guards that could chase him around and BJ Armstrong and Aron Harper weren’t quick enough to stay with him so they fouled him a lot

But Iverson dropped 40 on good efficiency against the Bulls in some games... and did crossing up Pippen and Jordan.
