Just watching him run and move up the court

How the hell was he drafted 9th

an actual 7 footer that can shoot and run like that
Same reason Luka went 3 and was traded

Massive stigma in front offices about Euros being projects and soft and busting compared to their American counterparts

Also, there was barely any film on Dirk and the Mavs tried like hell to keep that overseas pro-am against Scottie and the boys under wraps. Donnie Nelson was trying to hide the tapes like he was LeBron at a basketball camp

He moved better than luka does

your right about the euro stigma forgot how prevalent that was back then

Dirk is no average white boy on the court.

Think there was a story where torched Scottie Pippen in an exhibition game vs team USA when he was just a teenager. By torching i mean he supposedly droped 50 on 'em. This was when Scottie Pippen was one of the premier defenders in the league. Remember in the FInals against the Lakers Jordan and Phil always said once they put Pippen on Majic Johnson the Lakers never won a game in that series again. Yeah that Pippen.

This, and Allen Iversom routinely dropping 30 against the Bulls is why we need to stop acting like 90s guys would school today's players. They wouldn't. Today's guys are just more athletic, and more is asked out of them skill-wise. It's just facts :manny:

I agree with you but Iverson dropping 30 is a bad example. I feel like early on in his career, Inversion dropping 30 at times was a lot of 9 - 26 FG with lots of freethrows at times. The Bulls didn’t have a small guards that could chase him around and BJ Armstrong and Aron Harper weren’t quick enough to stay with him so they fouled him a lot

He had 3 games over 60% against the Bulls. They had major problems against him. Luckily they still were still giving him L's

It’s insane now, but in 1998 it was right on time.

Dirk is the first non-American who didn’t play in college superstar HOF player.

NBA teams didn’t scout or respect non-American players. Especially those that were skinny and played “soft” like Dirk did.

I’m old enough to remember watching the 1992 dreamteam as a teenager. My point was that just saying “dropping 30” by some players can be misleading at times. Kobe, Melo, Iverson were all players that will have a bad game and still record 30 points because they were the type that may be shooting bricks that night but go to the line enough times to reach that mark. It’s one thing to tell me Ivy torched your team which he did many times. But there are times where the 30 points came with 8 for 30 shooting with Kobe ans Ivy and Melo. I’m not gonna call them volume shooters. But they do take a lot of shots

Whereas if you say Duncan dropped 30 you can almost bet her shot a decent percentage as the efficient player he was.

Kyrie, Dame, Steph giving them nikkas 40 stop it.

Neither of them could guard the side to side shifty crossover which is why guards like A.I. and Damon Stoudamire was giving MJ work and Pippen was getting crossed out his shoes by G-Hill and Kobe.

There’s a reason Dirk gave Pippen 50 points at that camp as a teen. Pippen never guarded anyone 7-feet with elite shooting ability with a crossover.

It’s a difference between guarding them and guarding mfs posting up to bring the ball like Mark Jackson and Gary Payton and nikkas with weak ass handles like Drexler and Reggie Miller.

well Iverson had no choice but to take those shots, he never played on a good team his entire car

Prime Grant Hill is better than Kyrie, Dame, and Stepth

the NBA dominated by Europeans, nikkaz can't even dominate in the olympics

you can't be serious

Olajuan, David Robinson, Ewing, Shaq, ain't no big men compare to these guys you sound crazy

the NBA is soft, they turned into euro ball, they moving the game to an international audience, it's not the same league anymore that's why the ratings are down, nobody wants to watch this hsit

Giannis the only player who plays like an old school player
