Nah. Chris seemed like he was on the J Cole path. He made plenty of solo records and mixtapes. Just couldn't get them to drop his album. I have no idea how Freeway got his second album released.

Everybody should have went independent after the breakup. They had a little buzz and maybe some music leftover. Jay wasn't at the controls like everybody thought.

I mean, they did. Might of took a small amount of time (that seemed way longer to us), but they all did

Chris has released who knows how many ‘The Network’ mixtapes. Oschino the same with Appetizer. Freeway a bunch of mixtapes and just dropped with Jake one again

The problem is they got that close to superstardom so they think it was more attainable than it really is. In actuality their lifestyle/career is supposed to look like Currensy’s. You don’t see Currensy mad he’s not on Wayne or Drake status. He’s a legend in his hometown—-just like SP is in Philly—-and to this day he feeds his family off rap. As I’m sure these nggas do.

They just erroneously think they deserved more, and add in a lil lack of hard work. You can tell from the first few minutes he don’t have projects up and ready to promote no merch etc

Jay told him to go solo. Chris made the wrong choice sticking with the group.
It was actually Dame that told him to go solo, but he wanted to remain loyal to Neef and it would’ve required him going to Dame’s distribution-less DDMG

he never had a chance to sign to dame. Jay and Dame said the same thing. Jay snatched Chris as soon as the break up happened. By the time YG 2nd album flopped Dame label was done.

Chris is probably grabbing a few bricks and making a few thousand of each one or some shyt like that, sending 5 to some hillbilly town in PA

Can't think what else he would be doing. How could he make any money off rap? Shows?

Well, The Game's first album the documentary came out in 2005 and carried on through 2006......He gave him hate it or love it, how we do, westside story, and church for thugs. All those records would have worked in 2006.

I think he seemed dead creatively because he gave so much of his music away to put his his team on.

Imagine if Jay-Z had released Vol 2, had his biggest album ever and then proceded to give Big Pimping and Give it to Me to Bleek and Beanie Sigel for nothing.

I loved Game's first album, for sure. February 2005

Right, but he was also Westcoast rap, and had a Dre cosign, even if for sure most of those songs were template songs for any generic thug rapper.
He had standout production, marketing, delivery and the Hot 97 shooting. Game was kind of last of dying breed.

He worked with Lebron's label in Cleveland for a lil bit - had Fat Al aka Al Fatz, Pooh Gutta (Doe Boy's manager/big homie) and Chip Tha Ripper aka King Chip.

Like somebody mentioned though, one of the most underrated and one of my personal faves.

Both Young Gunz albums is my shyt too due to fukkin with the Roc heavy and all the memories tied to it...

Can't say much that wasn't already said for real.

They had this shyt called Philadelphia Eagle or some shyt with these rare/solo cuts on it from Chris too that was HEAT.

I'ma post them joints

Chris was doing a lot of ghostwriting for a while. He prob still does. By the time he was let go, he was signed to E1...and remained for however many title changes/mergers. He's never stopped putting out music though, and doing features.

Neef was really the only one that got a late start putting out music, and Peedi just doesn't work. O, Free and even Sparks hit the ground running for a while...Sparks faded off.

Beans seemed like he wanted to act like a signed artist, even tho he was no longer in the industry. There's no reason why he didn't have Free or O's output of music.

I followed them for awhile, Neef had some super dope boy track about 10 years ago that was fire, -it's still on my phone lol- he's for sure busting moves, if he's not totally washed.

Chris had a lot of dope projects from 2007/2008, one was rapping over all Jay tracks, but I lost track of his work around 2009. Sparks had that album in 2007.

but, just based on my general knowledge, these guys still need a month to month income.

that's true, but the truth was that there was nowhere to really go.

Jesus, that boy was SPITTING!

Pen still potent, how old is Chris now? Sounding like he’s gonna tap into some crazy creative energy once he hits 40
