Jay a billionaire yet I will always relate to him on this shyt. I fw all of state prop and most of them been active rapping for years, but my goodness Chris ain’t done shyt in YEARS:heh:. Merely saying Jay name gets a abuzz 20 years later. Cmon man

Edit: Kim being the seasoned music veteran realizes nobody wanted to talk about his new shyt she cut all them music questions off and got to the breakup :bryan:

All these dudes have the same issue. They expected too much from a business relationship. And Jay really liked Chris. Had that man on a magazine cover with Lebron James. But the rap game shifted and it was out of Jay’s hand; street nggas and street music no longer had the autopass to stardom.

And Chris held it down he never really spoke bad on Jay but eventually he cracked

Now this bullshyt split up, fukked the whole shyt up
Knocked us back to scratch, how the fukk we get back to that
nikkas need you big homie, gotta get back to rap

I mean, facts is facts, 16 you had my back
Now we back corner to corner, nikkas laugh at that
C and Neef back in the streets, how you ain't mad at that?
Let alone nikkas plan my demise, tough love
Big homie you ain't stand by my side.
How can I (run to the ROC)

Tough. :mjcry: Them nggas really was back in the streets. But that wasn’t on Jay.

Jay told him to go solo. Chris made the wrong choice sticking with the group.

The bottom line is that Jay-Z felt he outgrew the situation. It's really not much deeper than that. We all have friends, business relationships and jobs we outgrow but people have such a huge attachment to the Roc that they're not willing to accept it. The most painful thing about the situation is that everyone else got caught up in and lost because of it. I kinda wished Jay had just walked away from Rocafella, left everything and started his own situation the same way Dre did Death Row because maybe everyone else would have had a fighting chance if Dame still kept Rocafella with Beans & State Property and Dipset but ultimately Dame and Biggs also decided to sell the company as well so they profited.

Nonetheless, Dame should stop talking about this.
