like most black folk in America, my lineage is more than likely from west africa.
hence why i have a problem with "descendants of slaves"

The only thing most ADOS people know about our lineage is at some point we are descended from someone who was a slave in America.
Those ancestors could’ve been bought from Africa, South America, or was native to this land before they were enslaved, we don’t know, but we can safely say that’s where our KNOWN lineage starts, is the one thing that unifies us and makes us unique from all other groups in this country.
That’s why we call ourselves ADOS.
If you don’t like the term, some folks use Foundational Black Americans (FBA).
I’m fine with either one.
