They problem is we weren't africans before we came here because there was no such thing as Africa. The term referred to a coastal section of now Libya. Not to the whole landmass. But because the Latins and the Germanics done conquered the planet they done tricked nukkas into thinking this place called Africa exist, and that it defines some type of identity in REALITY, when IT DOES NOT.

I could run the gamut on how every country and landmass with a name today "didn't exist" and yet here we are with a whole clique of people calling themselves AMERICAN Descendants Of SLAVES. A 'slave' doesn't exist until a person and/or a people accept it. So y'all embrace America... Embrace the concept of being a slave... but deny and pontificate against any notion of us being anything otherwise?


I'm tryna circle it back to the actual question/point I was making: How and why is it okay to rob us of our identities (whatever you wanna call it) and force an identity specifically made for their advantage???

By that logic, claiming “Africanism” does the same. It’s acceptance of colonialism/oppression and it’s the acceptance of some external European or other robbing you of your true identity.

The “soul”you refer to is going shine regardless. However, we have to recognize the past because it teaches a valuable lesson and it is a part of our identity no matter how unfavorable. But I don't deny slavery happened. It was a moment in our history, yes, but it's not the totality of who we are. We precede just like we've proceeded it. We have far more autonomy in determining who we are and what we'll be than most are able to see or lend credence to, but that starts with a firm understanding that you're NOT what these 'White Christian Brothers and Sisters' say you are
