I read an article recently that broke it down really well.

Basically, choosing a person to love is easy. You can fall in love over a weekend, that's why it's called "falling". The difficult part is LOVING the person you've CHOSEN over a long period.

It'll happen when you least expect it.

Ironically ppl that never gave a damn about love usually have the best relationships. I still can't believe iz married, I've always despised the thought of being anyone's wife. Life is truly unpredictable.

IMO, love isn't what we're taught it is. It isn't the wide-eyed euphoric feeling that Disney sold us when we were kids. Love is basically a history of caring between two people. And it's very rare. Is there anyone from your past that you sometimes think about?

i went thru it. i was single for 6 years, knockin hoes down, passing up on "good" girls who wanted relationships because it just didn't feel right. all my close friends were getting married before me and i got to the point where i thought maybe the whole thing just wasn't for me. even when i was first set up w my wife we didn't click off the bat. we had a bunch of mutual friends and we still saw each other out socially, but nothing ever came of it. then one night the friend who initially tried to set us up told me, "yo you know _______ has been asking about you lately. are you gonna be at _____'s party on saturday?" we had a few drinks together that night and started talking more and more from there. 8 months later we got engaged. now we've got a beautiful family together and i wouldn't trade it for anything.

i guess my point is it's all about timing, and a lot of it is out of your control. you never know if/when it will happen. but it does. i am living proof of that. ask anyone who remembers me recounting endless debauchery on sohh from about 2000-2006/7. i never thought it would be me.

but how do u build a history when she gets jazzy jeff'ed constantly:to:

to be honest No- there is no one i think about

the last and only person i had feelings for was an ex from HS and college- we lived 2gether and she wanted to get married after i graduated but i did not want to get married and struggle financially
then when my senior yr of college was starting- we found her sister murdered and or relationship fell apart
and we never got back together
but i dont think about her like that now

I dunno breh I don't normally say this cause it's usually for bird brain bytches, but you might wanna consider celibacy for a while so you can connect w/ a woman on a level other than sex. That is, if you're serious about wanting to find love. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with your lifestyle. You know what you want and what you don't want, and it doesn't line up with what a bunch of other people want... so what? If you never love, you'll never have to deal with a broken fukking heart, and trust me, you do NOT want to deal with that shyt.
