So I work as a sub teacher, and one thing I like to do when taking attendance sometimes is ask kids to tell me their favorite movie. Just from my observations, it seems kids are much more into horror and superhero action than down to Earth films about their lives nowadays. Like the breh above me said, Spider-Man Homecoming may end up being that classic teen movie for this gen.
I consider those to be in the category and they were decent films. I don't know that teenagers even go to the movies like that anymore for those types of films, everything's about superheroes now.

didn't know where to post this thought, but what happened to the teen movie/teen shows? all the teen shyt is so dark and serious, why the hell is gen z, and i guess younger millennials since that's when the dark turn started, so fukking depressed? all those paper towns, me earl and the dying girl, spectacular now, adventureland movies didn't have the frivolous, upbeat fukkery of classics past...then 13 reasons why and euphoria are just dark....are teens this serious and drug ravaged nowadays? they dont look like it on social media
