To be fair, Rock did that with everybody at that time, but typically he'd have a good back and forth match with the guy he did it to or he'd outright put the guy over in the match, that didn't happen with Booker though. It's actually kind of amazing that Booker came back from most of that shyt and became as popular as he did.

that Rock promo at Booker was the main reason Sting opted not to go to the WWE too. I don't like it because we got robbed of potential dream match ups (Rock actually was hoping to work with Sting) but I can understand why Sting was like given Vince's track record with guys who have deep NWA/WCW ties.

Like you said, the invasion coulda worked out if they'd used the players they got better. The factor was there from the sheer fact of seeing so many guys you only saw on TNT/TBS on USA/TNN now

At the time they should have been more than enough to have a solid feud, but like I said Vince was preoccupied with jobbing all of them out (The exception being RVD).
