You have 3 months to bring up the ratings or the WWE closes down. What would you do as the BOSS?

scale back on all programming. Or atleast get rid of that 3rd hour of raw and put 205 on Raw too. Get rid of Main event and superstars if they even still have that. increase storyline building footage...backstage interviews, vignettes, pre taped promos, backstage fights, etc...don't oversaturate the wrestlers.Build up tv matches over weeks. Example...Apollo Crews wins an IC title shot...let him and Dean cut promos, vignettes, fight backstage, etc for a fews weeks to build up the match, not just have it the same night for nothing. Basically do all the stuff NXT is doing.

A couple things I would do:

-RAW goes back to two hours; either that or the first hour of three is reserved for something specific like showcasing 205 Live or the women

-Every PPV goes back to three hours, with WrestleMania going back to four hours; a half hour or one-hour pre-show for each PPV, with WrestleMania getting a two-hour pre-show
.
-Character progression; if Finn Balor wins the Intercontinental Championship, competes in the midcard for months, and then loses the belt, he moves on to the main event and stays there

-No more "beat the champion/champions to get a title match" bullshyt. If you're in contention, you face someone else in the same place and you guys compete to see who gets the title shot

-Guys in feuds only interact in segments and tag matches; the one-on-one match is for the PPV only

-More storytelling and long-term booking; what a wrestler does in one feud can end up affecting what happens to them in the next feud, with some feuds lasting several months

-Less rematches; if Sasha and Bayley face the Riott Squad one week, they're not facing them the next week unless there's a reasonable catalyst for it; instead, they face Alexa Bliss and Mickie James the next week and the Riott Squad can interfere in it, creating the need for another match and a feud that can last for a few PPVs until there's a definitive winner

-Hell in a Cell and TLC go back to being specialty matches, and stop being PPVs; that way, if a blood feud is reaching its end, the only way to close it out is with a big match like Hell in a Cell

-Wrestlers need to have different motivations as the year progresses; Rollins could be the Universal Champion for half the year, and then be in a feud with Baron Corbin for a few months, then try and get back to being the Universal Champion as the year ends and the road to WrestleMania starts

-More storyboard-driven and much less scripting; wrestlers need to be encouraged to inject their own personality into their promos and stories; each wrestler featured on a show needs to be tracked and followed for up to six weeks so they have something substantial to do

Fix The Brand Split.

RAW - 2 Hours - Mondays
  • WWE World Heavyweight Champion -
  • Intercontinental Champion -
  • United States Champion -
  • Television Champion -

SD - 2 Hours - Fridays
  • WWE Women's World Champion - Becky Lynch
  • WWE World Cruiserweight Champion - Rey Mysterio
  • WWE World Tag Champions - The New Day
  • SD Television Champion - Naomi
I'll establish my fan favorites on SD Live, for the time being, to be safe.
With a longterm goal of creating new stars and a bold new identity for Smackdown.

RAW is One Big Super Division.
Every man for himself. This is the #1 lockerroom rule and they fight to maintain this order so that
no one has an unfair advantage and there's an equal playing field for everyone. . .

They break the #1 lockerroom rule. They form a stable. This is a big angle and will go on through the 2020 Rumble where hopefully someone returns to a thunderous ovation. .

restructure the show altogether - write it like a tv show with over arching storylines that involves many moving parts through the card. an episode of RAW and SD should have plenty of character building moments so the matches in the ring actually matter to viewers on TV.

storylines boil over on social media, utilize the most trending platforms beyond just hashtags ... like have engaging footage and content to draw more audiences in for the actual show

involve celebrities who are fans in more ways than just have them show up to a show and cut a generic promo and be interrupted

use the show to tackle topics of discussion to make the product permeate popular conversations as opposed to being a niche on the side thing (e.g. when black panther was a cultural moment, WWE could find a way to use it as a way to start a convo in their product about black wrestlers, or have a wrestler use that to catapult their character, etc) ... actually be in tune with whats going on as opposed to being years late on something.

if the goal is to draw in viewers outside of core fans, then gotta find ways to tap into whats cool to people and make the product relate to that while keeping it interesting for core wrestling fans too

the pg model works if we assume the kids they are grooming now will be life long fans. however with the accessibility of content and entertainment, kids may just move onto the next thing, especially if the product is stale, so i think it defeats the purpose of what they are trying to do anyways

Bring in Hall as a booker, Nash replaces Rene on commentary

Have Cesaro go over Sheamus and Big E go over Kofi for the right to fight for the title..Cesaro goes over and beats Bryan for the title. Sheamus sticks by Cesaros side and serves as his mouthpiece. He claims Cesaros win is a "big swing" in the Smackdown world and Cesaro goes back to using the big swing as his signature move to set up the neutralizer. Miz uses his partnership with Shane to give him a chance to prove he is better than Cesaro. They feud after a Miz TV segment gone wrong. Shane serves as special ref in their title match and quick counts for a Cesaro victory. Miz then feuds with Shane and has a ladder match at the ppv with the loser to leave the wwe. Shane loses. Cesaro begins a feud with Samoa Joe and drops the belt to Joe after a transitional reign.

Move Styles and Bryan to Raw and have a 3 way feud with Cena for the right to face Brock. The first one to lose two matches in a series of matches against each other loses a chance at the big belt but then goes for the intercontinental belt. Styles loses twice and goes on to feud with Seth and Ambrose. Seth eventually goes to Smackdown. Bryan vs Cena vs Brock for the title. Cena pins brock.

Have Sasha and Bayley finally feud with Sasha going over to fight Rousey for the title. Loser goes to Smackdown in exchange for Becky..Sasha loses and ends up feuding with Asuka for the smackdown belt. Becky feuds with Rousey for the raw belt.

Mandy Rose goes to Raw and competes with Liv Morgan in a modeling contest. They end up kissing each other and form a tag team while simultaneously both being valets for Braun. They have steamy segments in the third hour..eventually get jealous of each other and have a blood feud..Braun says he will kayfabe marry the winner. Mandy wins and Liv gets desperate for love and is seen flirting backstage with many workers..including Tyler Breeze who turns her down because he likes men.

Lashley feuds with Drew in a best of 3. Series is tied one on one and Liv tries to help Lashley win but ends up costing him the match. Lio calls her a stupid skank and they end up having a match that opens a pay per view.

Brock comes out the night after he loses the belt and says he is leaving for the UFC. Lashleys music hits and Lio and Heyman have a back and forth. Lio says that Lashley is better than brock at wrestling and MMA and is only being held back by racism while Brock just gets privilege because he is white. Brock says none of that matters because Vince is a man of integrity and values skill and drawing power and calls Lashley a nobody and states he wont leave the WWE until he fights Lashley. Lashley goes over in a fukkery filled lumberjack match where the wrestlers all gang up on Brock. Brock disappears to fight in the UFC while Lio starts cutting promos saying that the locker room has Lashleys back and that he is now on a mission to take out all of the "overpushed" wrestlers. He then feuds with Cena for the belt and goes over clean with Vince and Hogan watching. He then smashes Hogan with the belt and poses over his corpse. Hogan literally dies after suffering a stroke from the belt shot to end a pay per view.

ratings down 5 points, WWE sells to Disney
you wrote all that for nothing

the answer is celebrity/athlete endorsement ala Mike Tyson Wrestlemania 14. Ratings for WWF climbed ever since

I would run a network angle to be honest with you. WWE has to play up to the fact that they are the villain and USA or FOX is intervening to save the product. Just like we tuned in 20 years ago to see NWO beat the hell out of the old guys in WCW, we’d tune in to see “the network” make the McMahon’s look foolish and override their decisions and beat up their hand picked starts each week. You beat them up so bad that the audience becomes sympathetic to WWE and starts rooting for them again. That’s when you introduced your new breakout star to literally save them and carry them into a new era

Just get the title off Brock and I think we could be fine. Need a talent draft, too. Those are the big things we need to do. Everything else feels just small enough to where it won’t matter. I guess I would also have Finn Balor win the rumble and go to SD to face AJ who wins it off Bryan, but that's really it. Oh, and put the 205 Live guys on Smackdown.
