If Swift throws a hundred more punches he wins the fight.
He got out worked, but barely outlanded. His ring generalship cost him. He wasn't being proactive with the jab in order to control Porter's aggression. Plus he was troubled by Porter's athleticism and footwork. The openings were there. He just didn't go for them enough.
Porter looked good. Prolly his best performance since the Paulie fight. He outboxed Swift in spots and out fought him in others. He also landed more clean punches than I expected him too. Usually Porter gets by with those close quarter hustle punches that sometimes lack that real snap on them. Against Danny he was really throwing and landing good solid shots. He toned down the roughness just enough to clean up his offense. It's like he fixed his own flaw. I think he gives Spence a real fight, but Spence should be the favorite to win that bout.
Good weekend of boxing though.
Khan is another brutal KO waiting to happen. Ref was being a dikk in the fight too. I think Brook and Pac both beat him. Nobody with Khan's pedigree should be struggling like that against a Sammy Vargas level of opponent. For all the shyt we give John Molina. Vargas is even a level below him. Jessie Vargas would prolly ko khan. Keep him away from any pressure fighters or anybody that comes forward throwing more than 50 punches a round. May as well make Broner vs Khan. Perfect crossroads bout.
Ugas is solid, but wasn't impressive. Fight seemed like forever.
Kow and Martin put on a good fight. I'm glad the judges all saw the right fight. Martin could have won if he wasn't so passive in the beginning.
