Vince does not give two shyts. I really doubt he sweating over a CM Punk return as if it's gonna hurt his pockets :mjlol:

It's not about the money, it would be delusional to think that Vince didn't have a moment where he went "fukk, this should have happened on Smackdown"

The reaction, the social media buzz, the mainstream buzz, it's not about losing money but losing image

Pretty sure you're right. Based on the Colt Cabana podcast, it sounded like Punk & Vince had a cordial relationship prior to the whole getting released on his wedding day thing. Vince has always had the ability to mend fences with anyone too.

Vince does, Punk on the other hand has the ability to hold a grudge over anything. Probably still has heat with his 2nd grade teacher for correcting his spelling on his homework.

Money and image goes hand in hand. I doubt Vince cares about Punks return in the long run. Punk does not have the single hand ability to to make WWE collapse. The sponsorships/share holders/and WWE themselves is what is more important. Millions will still tune into watch across the globe.:yeshrug:

:manny:Vince gives a shyt about money. WWE is making a lot of money. WWE been in the shytter for years and still making hand and fists.

As long as the Dub stay out of his lane with making money, I doubt Vince cares when in reality they are close to selling the WWE.

Different line of business nowadays compared to the 90s where wrestling was popular as hell, and not niche as shyt.

I think people misunderstood Vince when he said AEW wasn't competition in the way WCW was. People took it as a dig or disrespectful, but really I think WWE is just worried about making money and not really competiting with anyone like they competited with WCW

Vince doesn’t give two shyts that Phil came back to what Vince calls wrassling last night. If he thought more of Punk, Vince would have swallowed his pride and tried to rebuild that bridge, even if it meant was going to piss his son-in-law off

Well it's the the same thing, one is an entertainment and content provider the other is a wrestling company

Nick Khan said they are closer to a variety show in a recent interview. They have other venues of competition to worry about than just AEW.

Is wrestling not entertainment?

It is but I'm told they're just entertainment as per Nick Khans latest interview, he literally said we don't use that word. 2 diff products, the WWE should play daily and at 2pm like a soap would do well

It's literally part of the company's name so I never got that part. :heh:

All "Pro Wrestling" is and has ever been was entertainment charading as a sport no matter how many other companies want to view themselves.

If true "Pro Wrestling" existed it would be like the Olympics but on the level of true competition like the NBA, MLB, NFL, etc.

In the end it has more in common with movies, plays, TV sitcoms than actual sports like baseball and the others.

Vince Is out of touch

To him, Goldberg winning is a bigger deal. He’s probably on Undertakers jack right now offering the biggest bag of the decade

:upsetfavre:
I’m a E Stan but their inability to keep Bryan , bring back punk , releasing wrestlers like bray to save money when they are making money hand over fist shows you not only did Vince lose it , he probably is looking to sell. I’m almost expecting Cole to go to AEW too at this point . The E may be making money but momentum wise it’s all AEW . There are no real Indy stars left as AEW is getting them since have more flexibility.
