way to completely ignore the later half of my post, having black spouse ad producing black offspring does not make you pro-black. Being pro-black is an ideology that one personally adopts.

The more I read this thread the more I realize that African Americans share different struggles than minorities and black people from other countries.

The fact that African Americans have no real identifiable culture, the only thing an AA can do to preserve it is through race, not language, or even historical traditions passed down from generations. just simply being black.

If you were Jamaican and married someone who wasn't Jamaican (be it white, chinese, haitian etc...) as long as you made it your duty teach them the history and background of your culture, the "ethnicity" of who you dated wasn't that important, as long as you remembered your cultural history and background. Not to mention there could be members of other ethnicities that share the same culture. (i.e. Asians, or Indians living in the Caribbean)
