I mean, a pro-black person (by my definition), is someone who wants to better themselves while staying true their black skin. Someone who doesn't "c00n-out " in front of white folks. Basically, a person who accepts that he/she is black, but doesn't glorify ignorance.

Pro-black: A black person with sense enough to be themselves, and still do what they need to do to succeed.

However, I think the thread starter is talking about the "black power" pro-black. I dunno.

I don't know about pro-black (I'm not 100% of your definition of it), but if a black person marries someone white, I don't want to hear anything about "needing to help the black community" from them. I'd question why that person married a white person, IF they love the black community so much.

I completely agree, if you're in a relationship with someone white you can not be pro black. Here's a post from another site that pretty much sums it up

You cannot be Pro Black or Militant in an IR relationship. You simply can't.

How the fukk are you going to talk about the Black struggle and uplifting the race when you are dealing with the very same race that is the cause of Black folks issues?

How can you rail against colorism and such when your offspring will benefit from its practice?

How can you be all hot about White privilege when your spouse has benefited from it for their entire life?

How can you talk about racial profiling and systematic discrimination when your spouse knows neither of those things?

I don't know why you wrote that jokingly. It's embarrassing if you ask me. I stated the same thing about Kobe Bryant but in his case his wife is Mexican. Loosely related but the fact that publicly black men are cheating on their spouses with white women reinforces stereotypes.
