they became bigger than some group..a brand. I feel they could have done a bit more to capitalise their growing success when they were younger and fresher..so many albums and projects were install..but yeah rest is history, they have done so much for hip hop and and many more media related businesses.

The W is a classic. I don't understand how people still don't realize this.

this

i always felt the problem and/or mistake the wu made was dropping a double cd as dope as forever.

the w after that effort, came across as too short and unfulfilled.

but regardless it was a dope album, i think most people wanted more though

they've done 6 tours in the past 5 years, no other veteran act can say that

as far as new music, i think with RZA's movie engagement being almost 3 years there wasnt much potential for new group tracks. slowly but surely stuff will come out, was hoping for a group album this year but its looking more like next year.

its a dry spell, no doubt about it, Rae and Deck are the only ones to even drop anything lately. but GZA/Ghost/MK and Deck all have projects for this year, RZA is gonna have the Iron Fist OST out this year also

Without Dirty they're just too damn serious. Ghost is the only one who brings some wild shyt now and then but the rest goes deep, which is fine but can be a bit of an overload.

If you listen to 36 Chambers and 8 Diagrams - it's not like they fell off lyrically (in fact almost all of them have improved), it's just a lack of energy. '8 Diagrams' is a dope album but I can't listen to it too often because it's just too dark, if you go track by track it's dope beats and performances - as a whole it gets boring on multiple listens.

RIP Ason Unique.

^ they were younger and full of energy and drugs..lyou expect them to be the same? Look at the RZA, he is no longer the same brother who used to spit "kill a devil..pro lessons of the nation etc" ..he is more like a free thinking poet with harmony and care!

While you're right - f you look at their solo's they can still muster up much more energy.

421... , Cuban Linx II, Ghost's shyt, even Bob Digital (I & II & Birth of a Prince) - all way more :mj: than '8 Diagrams'. It's just somehting about them coming together that's been lacking.
