In the United States, it's much easier to sell "elite" wrestling than "Japanese" wrestling. The mainstream wrestling community is ready for a new canon.

AEW has a deal with NJPW, who has already been promoting the company. This will allow for excursions and talent exchange. They're also paying Meltzer to keep it kayfabe. He could spill a lot more, privy to tons, but he is literally on their payroll.

Kenny will have a founder's deal that will see him capable of making more money than if he just took a WWE contract, a franchise building legacy that elevates him into living legend, and he'll work with people he has voluntarily and happily worked with for years.

And oh my god people, you do not do the "refused the countout victory" angle in one's last match in NJPW, of all places. He pulled Tana back into Ace position, created worldwide buzz, and is sitting comfortably amidst the maelstrom.

To add on to that founders/executive deal, he'd probably have complete, if not a good chunk of creative control over what happens with his character. Same can't be said for him going to WWE.

Yes.... exactly.... it’s crazy how people just that quickly forgot that.

Also I doubt when it’s up and running they gonna have a roster of 150+ wrestlers not to mention all the other excess people behind the scenes like in the E (30 writers) so the bag will probably even be bigger for the wrestlers.

And being he’s so cool with Bucks and Cody you can already imagine they gonna look out for him big time.

There’s no point of going to the E for like 3 matches

Jericho has already said he got a bigger contract than anything in his career, which includes his contracts in WCW from Turner, his contract to come to WWF from Vince, and his re-up from Vince again in the prime of his career.

Did you see the 5 minutes pointless firework spam they did at their press conference at the stadium?

They know they have to spend money to make this successful and from what we've seen so far, they are.

Khan family is worth double what Vince's net worth is, and they have 700 million lying around due to them pulling their offer on buying Wembley Stadium. They have the money to match and overpay people if need be

Yes that’s why it’s crazy that Vince and co about to panic and start overpaying people.... in a long run that’s not gonna be substainable with everyone they have in staff and the other things they have going on.

Can you realistically double and over pay the contracts of 150+ wrestlers..... some that you not even really given an opportunity to shine or make they money!

If you not gonna do nothing with say Tony Nese.... what’s the point of signing to double his salary just for the sake of keeping him from leaving? You wasting money now

What 100 Million? Where? They don't have a TV or a Streaming Service lined up. They have 7 wrestlers on their rosters, and their first PPV is 4 months away.

Yea I believe they definitely have more shyt lined up, but they aint trynna release or we just really aint getting the updates in real time.

So much shyt is moving sooooooo fast in this world right now. But I'm sure when the time is right shyt gonna really pop that gonna have everyone talking.
