The Del Rio bandwagon was always too much, too early... I thought dude was good, but not nearly good enough to win the Rumble OR be given the belt 6 months in at Mania 27... and he's proven over the last year that the whole idea of him being pushed to the main event so fast was a mistake. If they had paced his push, right now he'd be at a point where he would fit into the main event. Instead, he got it all in a year and been boring ever since.
Barrett probably wouldn't have done any better, but he deserved the push Del Rio got because AT LEAST he lived up to the push he got. The Corre slowed him down and he's been trying to get back on point ever since, but he looks like with a solid enough push, he still has a chance to grow into a consistent main-eventer. Just cause it didn't happen overnight doesn't mean it's time to give up on him, because he didn't burn out like Del Rio has. It's a good thing they didn't throw the belt on him that fast, because he still has time/opportunity to become much better than he was during the Nexus run. We've pretty much seen all Del Rio's dimensions (at least as a heel), so it's all downhill for him at this point.

WWE booking is stupid they never strike when the iron is hot with guys even if i'm not big fans of Del Rio,Barrett or Ryback they never go all the way. They can't give Barrett a title run but they give unover doofus types like Jack Swagger MITB and a title run.
