But those are all material gains. To grow as a person on the inside you need to experience raising a child who needs your constant love and attention. When you have a child who tests your patience, you quickly learn the art of forgiveness; your heart becomes softer; you wish the best for them before yourself. A child can bring out the best in you!

Is this why 90% of girls I know had a kid before they had a job or moved out they moms house?

I'm not a parent yet, but I do agree to with this statement. Being a parent is one of the most ultimate selfless acts you can do (if you do it right) IMO. To wake up every morning thinking about someone else OTHER than yourself is a major part of our growth experience in this world. Having another human being totally dependent on you (for a few years or a lifetime) is something that a text book can't teach you. Those moments will undoubtedly shape you as a person and help you have a greater understanding of love, patience, compassion, and unselfishness.

Oh shoot, I want to have a child now.

what does any of this have to do with being grown?

an 11 year old can do exactly what you described for his 4 year old little brother. does that make him more of an adult than a 30 year old man that has no kids but is 100% self sufficient?

I would only consider having a child once I had a stable career and a husband. I do not encourage young girls getting pregnant randomly to random men at random houses.

@TheFemalePerspective That was some real shyt, but you're talking to a bunch of college kids who think they're grown and have life figured out already.

Once you have a family depending on you, life isn't a game anymore. One bad choice could fukk up a few lives, not just your own :whew:

Exactly! Life changes so much when you have a child. lol, yh sometimes I try to have a serious convo on here but the rebuttals are always in the form of negs. I'm quite young myself, so I don't understand the level of immaturity I witness here. The coli sure does attract some weird unique people.

An 11 year old is waking up every 2 hours to feed a baby?

An 11 year old is taking care of an entire household: Cooking, cleaning, paying the rent, and contributing to bills.

Okay then..

the female youth today is lost and has no role models anymore. u have girls who never had kids preaching on what they think having a kid does to you. :comeon:

So a person who is completely self-sufficient but is infertile for whatever reason, but chooses not to adopt could never be grown? Is this what you're saying?

I'm gonna have kids but not take care of them..I already planned out my life since I was young..I wanna travel the world, have kids by women in different countries and bounce to the next country..if my kids turn 18 and try to seek me out then we can talk about our lives and I can see if we have the same personalities..that's how my grandpa was that I haven't seen in 20 something years..he has kids all over the world..so I'm alot like him..

You can have a child naturally or through surrogacy, adoption, any other method you can think of -- the point is you help raise another human being.

the bible says that sins of the parents fall on the children. meaning that families can have bad habits that will always be in their blood.
break that cycle. dont be like your grandfather. :usure:

obviously you didnt say all that in your initial post but whatever.

your definition of "grown" is just completely off base. you define someone as grown only if they care of a child...which is silly.

everyone else considers a person "grown" once they can fully take care of themselves. everyone is trying to tell you there are millions of women in this country taking care of kids...when they arent even taking care of their damn selves properly. so how could you say a person like that more grown than the rest of us?

So any adult who chooses not to raise a child is exempt from being grown, gotchu. Was just making sure I read and understood your views correctly breh.
