I'm not a parent yet, but I do agree to with this statement. Being a parent is one of the most ultimate selfless acts you can do (if you do it right) IMO. To wake up every morning thinking about someone else OTHER than yourself is a major part of our growth experience in this world. Having another human being totally dependent on your (for a few years or a lifetime) is something that a text book can't teach you. Those moments will undoubtedly shape you as a person and help you have a greater understanding of love, compassion, and unselfishness.
Oh shoot, I want to have a child now.

Deny. You can have your own place, pay your own bills and face adult challenges without ever having a child.
DuhhhhhhhhhhhI forgot I was posting on the coli. I should have just posted a hilarious gif or said something with profanities to get some daps.
But those are all material gains. To grow as a person on the inside you need to experience raising a child who needs your constant love and attention. When you have a child who tests your patience, you quickly learn the art of forgiveness; your heart becomes softer; you wish the best for them before yourself. A child can bring out the best in you!
