Extra weight, as long as it is kept under control, is fine. Hence thick women and chubby men. But when you lose control of your calorie intake and see yourself/others gaining weight steadily, it is time to correct your routines.
There is nothing to be celebrated about endangering your health and creating physical and mental problems for yourself.
If you are fat, you are shortening your lifespan and effectively slowly crippling yourself. All this body positive business about enabling fat women to feel sexy when historically it has been seen as unhealthy (as it should be) isn't good for you. In nature, if you are fat and slow, you get left behind, or eaten. How come this law is relaxed when it comes to our own species? We should not encourage the lifestyles and eating habits of overweight/obese people because that is not beneficial to them. We should not ignore this epidemic in our country and say its okay like we've been doing. It's not okay. Only in our country is it normal and okay to be obese. It's unhealthy and we should strive to help people out more instead of enabling them.
