Let's be reality Flacco and Shaub are better than 65% of QB's in the NFL. But according to Ravens fans, Flacco is worse than Trent Dilfer. Shaub is more than a game manager, he is a very solid QB and Flacco has better playoff numbers than many veteran QB's. I think we live in the Madden era, that if my QB isn't elite or close to it he must be trash. Both guys are top 15, arguably top 10

But let's keep it funky. The Ravens need Flacco more than he needs them. No one in the draft is a starting caliber QB, and there are no good QB's becoming free agents anytime soon. By no means is Flacco elite, but he is a FRANCHISE QB in the sense that he is a good starter, say what you want his regular season stats are meh, but no matter how you slice it his playoff stats are good/very good. Joe Flacco will be a Raven for the foreseeable future, just facts. The bigger issue is the playcalling (which will improve with Jim Caldwell, imo). Can you do better than Flacco, maybe but remember without a competent QB you dudes are basically the Browns or the Cardinals with an elite runningback.

My thing is Flacco still making rookie mistakes
sometimes he just looks like he throws regardless of the coverage

and he always acts angry that no one gives him props
and to me he makes them mistakes because he plays out of anger
and in college he was a decent running QB but now he is trying to force being an in-the-pocket passer 100%

there are times when he could have scrambled and made a play but instead stayed in the pocket too long and got sacked or threw an int
