It's really crazy how much things changed in 99-00 period. But HHH's first big run as heel was horrendous. They tried everything to get him over and that shyt flopped. The Stephanie thing and Foley feud saved his ass big time, because for a while, he was struggling to get a reaction despite taking everyone out. Always thought Pac was a way bigger star from mid 99-late where they inexplicably turned him back to a heel and his career was never the same.

Just quoting this to mention how HHH was getting out-popped by every member of DX even at the groups peak face iteration.

The thing is he was probably the least over guy of the group. New Age Outlaws were unquestionably carrying them for most of 1998, until Chyna started getting over on her own. HHH was hurt during the fall so didn't do much either. By then, he was taking L's from the Corporation on a weekly basis until he joined them.

Afterwards, Pac was fukking mega-over especially with Kane. Even as a kid, I thought it was fukking stupid when X-Pac turned bad (heel) because everyone fukking loved him in school. He was the little dude with mad heart. He was getting the loudest pops after Rock and Austin.
