Yo real talk, Mick Foley was right behind Austin and Rock.

He never gives him credit for making him who he is...doesn't even like to talk about Foley in general.

Definitely has on numerous documented occasions but I'll let yall keep living in fan fiction

But yeah Mick is legit mainstream famous, a dude you can reference to non fans and ppl know who he is

I could see Mick as 3rd or 4th, only person I could think of ahead of Mick in the pecking order is probably Taker.

The insinuation here is that Triple H is even further behind these four, and I’m all for it
HHH wasn’t even top 3 over in his own faction at the peak of the Attitude Era:mjlol: For real though, the NOA, Chyna, and X-Pac got more love than he did.

i think he was by 1999. Triple H started coming out to his new theme with Stephanie and his popularity was skyrocketing by that point.

I would rank them just solely off The Attitude Era

1. Austin
2. The Rock
3. Foley
4. Hunter
5. Taker

You don't receive a pop like this at MSG without being a superstar.

Madison Garden is the birthplace of smart wrestling fans. They love this sport just a little bit more than everyone else

Plus no one had seen dude in a year and the product was dropping off noticeably. It was something fresh to be hyped about. It was like “yes, now that he’s back maybe we’re going back to what we were doing”. That pop wasn’t all the way Triple H. We know that because it never happened again.

i don't think it happened again because by 2003 people were tired of the Four Horsemen cosplay shyt with Evolution even tho in hindsight Evolution worked because it spawned Dave and Orton. By that point SD! had the juice.

Since NXT Triple H has become more of beloved figure again.

People really think Hunter buried mick:stopitslime:

Mick’s program with him was to MAKE him and it did exactly that. I’ve never seen any shade thrown from Hunter to mick. He owes his career to him

shyt just don’t hit like this no more:mjcry::mjcry:
He tricked the fans into thinking he was top tier. Really that exposes him because with no Rock and Austin after WM 18..he couldn't carry shyt. Couldn't keep ratings up. The Hogan match was a flop. Evolution was a flop. He buried RVD and decimated Kane's career. The smarks acted like he was gonna return and reach Austin/Rock levels..the internet used to LOVE Cripple H. They thought he was the best outside of Benoit....they even used to Bash Eddie in those days. But they loved RVD and Cripple H..in the end, they exposed themselves they weren't what the hype tried to make them. Rock made Lesnar a star at Summerslam 8 months after that huge Cripple H pop and look at the effect Lesnar has had over all these years. Foley and Crippple H didn't endure. Falling off cages and the other guy going over everybody didn't make money.

Not really..Taker was already untouchable..it was a sympathy ploy for Foley. They ran that silly stuntman shyt for years everything he joined out to remind you just how crazy he was supposed to be or how he "sacrificed ". But he didn't sacrifice..he just don't any sense and rather was about making a spectacle instead of wrestling a legit classic.
