For all the guys saying he shouldn't have went for his burner, it's a toss up. Many men have died when they gave it up because the gunman simply had an itchy trigger finger.

I'm glad OP is good... You'll be ok physically but make certain you take care of your mind too. Go see a therapist as soon as possible for yourself and your family.

You have to “wait your turn”... aka wait for a safe opportunity /opening. That’s the difference between life and death in these situations. And you were extremely lucky!

Idk breh all that shyt doesn't help in the heat of the moment. I guess it's good supplemental knowledge but adrenaline makes everyone unpredictable, especially the aggressors

Even combat training doesn't really prepare you for when you're in the moment

Glad that you are OK. Losing anyone in this time of year is scary unto itself. Hope your wife and kids are around, and they are safe, as well.

My brother lives in the Northside of Chicago, and I keep telling him not to linger around after dark in these desperate economic times, cause people will do anything for a dollar, even killing the innocent.

But the ambulance and the police came and now I'm in the hospital. In telling y'all.....2020 shyt is real. But at least I'm alive to tell the tale. Make sure y'all tell your loved ones u live then cuz life can be taken in the blink of an eye.
