You should when it helps propagate a system that straps people with crippling debt for little in return. People can educate themselves without going to college but the system puts batteries in young kid's backs and tells them college is the next step after high school when in reality there are other options that don't saddle them with all that debt.

:heh:

Quit crying, save this argument for someone who upset they chose a degree field that they couldn't find a job in.

This dude is going to get formal education that's applicable to him sustaining/growing his assets....knowing everything we know bout rappers and the industry, you really wanna die on this hill over a dude taking classes for 3 months?

The last thing you should be arguing for is people trying to DIY when it comes to finance/asset management.

I can bet a stack on that the people criticizing Gotti for promoting education, or looking to get better versed in mergers and acquisitions or whatever never criticized him for promoting crime, reckless spending money on blood diamonds or whatever type of fukkery he's done in the past.

Gotta question who these people really work for :dahell:

This is not true! You can learn quicker from face to face interactions. Plus everyone is a different learner. I needed to be in class to get it then supplement that with reading slowly at my own pace.

Yes college has become a check mark on an HR list and a means of getting a job for all regular folks. But those that have the money and time and don't need to worry about anything can treat it as a LEARNING tool to acquire knowledge. Your professor is like a personal gym trainer....do you absolutely need them in today's age to learn..no you don't. But they and their curriculum can help push you in your pursuit.
Your personal gym trainer is just that. Personal. They deal with you one on one when you're paying them for that time. Your college professor may have several hundred of students they lecture. While you have access to them as a person they aren't personal for you. They aren't there teaching you one on one. When it comes to one on one you might have to hire a tutor or home for a teacher's aid.

The difference is this is Gotti the actual person talking about real life shyt vs Gotti the entertainer rapping fiction in songs. Even then Gotti is a textbook example of what I'm saying. He's worth over $100 million and college had jack shyt to do with that. The reason we have such a crippling student debt problem in this country now is because people are programmed from an early age to go to college as if that's the only answer and in reality there are plenty of other avenues to explore. You could join the military and learn a skill there for example.

The wealthy have set college up so you can't even eject the debt in bankruptcy. It's another tool they use to take money from the poor and middle class and syphon it to the rich.

Gotti can write a check for 4 years of college education and not even notice the money is gone. For the person that's taking out that debt to only reach the end of school and be told they need experience to get a job to then be forced to take on common work because that debt is due that's a completely different experience than his wealthy ass going to college for the hell of it when he already has more money than he'll ever need in life.

Don't see how any of that has anything to do with Gotti wanting to learn more about mergers and acquisitions through an executive MBA or whatever (which is for executive who wanna refresh their memory or executives who come from other fields and wanna gain some more financial/big business skills) :dahell:

That too many people just go to college to study whatever the fukk with no regards to if this is financially beneficial for them, for shyt with no labor market demand, at fugazi schools and on, is a completely different question.

Are you factoring skilled labor into that and entrepreneurs that end up learning a skill and starting their own business or are you just talking about general workers which include people flipping burgers at McDonald's? Unskilled labor makes shyt wages.
It’s common knowledge. Google it.

I asked you specifically what you took into account to make that statement? Are you saying the billionaires that don't have college degrees are worth notably less than those that do for example?

Because it provides education...

We have warped it into an employment check point but learning your craft and expanding your brain is never a bad thing.
I have 3 degrees and in a lot of my classes, I was telling professors, who were teaching their subjects for years, things they never knew. I also started school in my mid 30s after years in the military and touring so I finally used that GI Bill. So I'm telling you, college isn't necessary to be informed and educated because there are some athletes in college now that can barely read. I remember being in class with one of them and I truly felt bad for him.
