While nobody should fault anyone for pursuing higher education to benefit themselves in their job field... we have to realize that these dudes are still fans, and typically worse about it than coli stans are.

You should when it helps propagate a system that straps people with crippling debt for little in return. People can educate themselves without going to college but the system puts batteries in young kid's backs and tells them college is the next step after high school when in reality there are other options that don't saddle them with all that debt.

You don't need to go to college to learn things. We live in a different world now. You can read books and learn on your own. There are also online resources to learn things.

College is about getting a stamp on a piece of paper to validate you in the job application process. Plenty of people learn skills and never step foot in college.

When you don't have a formal education/training in things, you're much more likely to believe you know more than you do.

Not to mention, you're much more susceptible to fraud and scams......All them dudes on EYL literally seek out you anti-college scorned weirdos to fleece you out your money.

College educated Americans make more money than non-college educated Americans.
Are you factoring skilled labor into that and entrepreneurs that end up learning a skill and starting their own business or are you just talking about general workers which include people flipping burgers at McDonald's? Unskilled labor makes shyt wages.

I'm glad that Yo Gotti went to college... nothing wrong with that since most of your favorite rappers went to school.

Lil Wayne
David banner
Killer Mike
Bun B
Gucci mane
Rick ross
Camron

Cats need to stop vapid though and learn to broaden their horizons.

I really think that Gotti had the business acumen when he was able to buy himself out of his contracts as well.

And the majority of people NEVER learn, and never learned how to learn. Which is what schooling is supposed to do.

Learning skills is training, and you can train people all day, but true learning is how to apply one skill to problem solve another. You can teach someone 3 x 5 = 15 all day, but then show them 5 x 3, and watch them be stumped.

Whether or not you need college or not dependent on the person and the field. However, no matter your career path, you definitely will need some sort of institutional learning to go further in it.

I went to college and got a 4 year degree. As a person that went I could have got those textbooks and studied that shyt on my own. The teachers there didn't really do anything essential to my learning. They gave lectures assigned homework and gave us test. I don't feel as if those lectures were all that important and there are other avenues to get an explanation the lectures gave. So the standardized test and homework from a text book you can buy on your own is important?

Maybe the best thing college gives people, and not everyone, is networking potential. You can get that from volunteer work and other avenues though. Outside that possibly an internship if you can land one.

This college propaganda sickens me. If I'm already a multimillionaire fukk college. The hell I look like going to a dream selling factory and I'm already rich. You don't need college to be successful and if you are already successful you don't need college.
Everyone can learn something new everyday it doesn't matter if you're a billionaire or not. He's just hungry to acquire some knowledge and business strategies from smarter people than him. There's nothing wrong with that.

100 on everything you said.... My brother in law makes doug doing AC Units and branched out and he never stepped foot in college. I know others as well who make a SOLID living from learning a trade or two on their own or just an apprentice as you said. I learned flooring on my own from videos and reading, going to try to take that up soon on my own (Actually did physical work too in my folks house etc.).

We’ve seen how many rich people that came from uneducated backgrounds that lost all their money quicker than they made it. They go into rooms and get finessed cause they’ve never read anything other than an IG post.

It’s not only about sitting through exams, it’s about being well versed in the language and connecting with/learning from people.

Unlike a Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg, his family and friends are not really highly educated at the world’s best institutions.

Hating on the least educated group promoting education is wild, who do you work for :scust:

A lot of people don't read books.

The typical college class they're going to stand in a hall and give a lecture and assign reading from a text book. You may get exercises questions from that book to do at home and you get a few test, a mid term, and a final exam.

I'm sorry but as a person that went to college and graduated with a 4 year degree you aren't going to convince me that sitting in a hall listening to a lecture and copying down notes is the difference between knowing how to learn and not because past those lectures that other stuff can be replicated at home on your own.

I'm not saying college is wrong for everyone. Some people in certain fields have to have that piece of paper but there are skills people can learn now that don't require college and massive amounts of debt to acquire. College debt is a problem.

This is not true! You can learn quicker from face to face interactions. Plus everyone is a different learner. I needed to be in class to get it then supplement that with reading slowly at my own pace.

Yes college has become a check mark on an HR list and a means of getting a job for all regular folks. But those that have the money and time and don't need to worry about anything can treat it as a LEARNING tool to acquire knowledge. Your professor is like a personal gym trainer....do you absolutely need them in today's age to learn..no you don't. But they and their curriculum can help push you in your pursuit.
