Those NYC fans got to be very annoying.
I went to all the NYC ROH shows and it really took a nosedive at the Final Battle Black/Aries 60 min match.
The fans had a personal vendetta against Rollins/Black which made no sense to me.
From going to them NYC ROH shows I knew guys like Bryan and Rollins could make it in the E, just off the pure connection they got with the crowd.
I'm with you, man. That why I have a lot less tolerance than most for the current WWE crowds turning on shows these days. I know they're expressing distaste with the product or whatever, but i've been in a ton of those ROH "fukk YOU, WE TROLLIN!" type audiences at the Manhattan Ctr/Hammerstein. It was fun to participate for a bit, but it becomes obnoxious.
As for Tyler, they kinda started turning on him BEFORE he announced he was leaving. I always felt like NYC felt his style just didn't belong in ROH. Probably because he always kinda seemed like a WWE type guy and they pushed him pretty damn hard, and gave him the belt. I dunno. It got even heavier towards the end when he was leaving.
But yeah, I wish the Midcard belts mattered at all because he'd be perfect to break off, get one of those and shine with the hopes of an eventual push towards the main event in a few yrs. You might say he's balls on the mic, but Jeff made it despite that. And I think that even though he jumps from lower places, he's more talented than Jeff was.
