Of course people of all socioeconimic statuses and races have been killing their friends and setting them up since the dawn of time, but I do see a pattern of rappers, up and coming, young kids, killing their friends, in some sort of misguided murder plot for unclear reasons at best, and frivolous ones at worst. You wonder what forces are behind that, it's not nothing. I have to think that the kind of violence glamorized by these younger rappers, say 18-24 has been a part of it, as well as drug addiction, and fame. What makes them think they can get away with it? Some take rather foolish if thought out steps to conceal the murder. Melly apparently tried to stage a crime scene, while the guy below wore gloves, and a full "kill suit", and different shoes, changed his clothes, hid in the trunk. They have some knowledge of murder and investigations, mostly from social media and the internet, I would think.
I just read this on Monday, and I am sure I can find more if I look, this is almost the same scenario.
