In the midst of a brewing controversy regarding leaked racist videos, Justin Bieber still has strong supporters within the hip hop community.

The President of Young Money Records, Mack Maine, told TMZ that YMCMB will continue to work with the singer.



"Bieber does not have a slave mentality. He treats his people with respect. [He has] legitimately adopted the culture of the hip hop, African American culture. I remember telling a white man, Chinese man, Black man joke as a kid that was terrible and I told it to my friends because I thought they'd think it was funny."



Mack also cited Justin's close relationships with African Americans as reasons he believes the pop superstar isn't a bigot.

I think this "embracing black culture" was the plan from the jump. I think I read that someone tried to extort Justin Bieber with these racists tapes. So Im thinking this extortion attempt may have been made when he was still playing the innocent role...so they probably thought that he should hang with rappers so that if the person does go put the tapes out then he can play the..."some of my best friends are black" card.

I don't know...either way YMCMB are a bunch of c00ns. Any young kids I hear that listen tot hem I will sit down and tell them not to fuuck with them and WHY they shouldn't fuuck with them any more.

Lets be honest though.

After 5 years if you're a teenager who grew up around NO black people in canada and suddenly you're thrust into a world of diversity, that MIGHT be the case at 20/21.

He did say some really disgusting things though.

Kids say dumb shyt to be provocative and edgy, but ignorance is something you have to grow out of or learn about. Some people really don't know better.

I think his age will play a significant part in understanding how people view bigotry and steps to overcome it as people grow and mature.
