How y'all making 100K and still complaining???:why::hhh:

Because if you're single and making 100k, you should be good, but you may be sriving Mercedes, eating out every night ans at lunch, and live in an overpriced apt or condo.

If ur married with kids, you're spending on the kids, house stuff etc

Really, I think life is almost more about what you can save vs how much you make

31% of people living paycheck to paycheck are making 100k a year :dahell:

Bu bu bu it's the president's fault
Bu bu bu wages are stagnant
Bu bu bu I can't buy a car that's older than a 2020

Just another example of people clueless at Finance and how to manage their money
worst of all, people who make over 100k don't even get stimulus checks

People who make over 100k and don't know how to manage their finances deserve the stress
Not exactly. You have studios and 1bdrm apartments in major cities going for 2500 / month.

2500x12 = 30,000. That's nearly half someone's income 100k income, after taxes.

Not mention the bid for houses is insane. People are overbidding in cash, by 70k+ for a house. That's people with money.

If people are living check to check, imagine someone with "money" having to overbid on a house by 70k

Exactly, the 100k is to entice people, but fukk I'm cool with making slightly less and working from home. The coli may think I'm crazy for not working a 45 / hr job in person( @Chrishaune ), for a remote job that pays a bit less. I'm not sitting in traffic to make a few more $$.

I feel bad for all the people I see commuting to work everyday, high gas prices, dealing with traffic, and being stressed the fukk out before 8am.

Our combined household income is close to 150k and it's enough to not live paycheck to paycheck. But it def ain't what we thought it would be. I remember our first spot was 700 dollars a month in the beach area of San Diego "proper" and we were still on a tight budget but looking towards these 6 figure yrs and we just knew we'd have no worries. shyt unless you up in Idaho or somewhere like that 150k doesn't go that far in San Diego County California.

Lies lol

For example, in 2021, a single filer with taxable income of $100,000 will pay $18,021 in tax, or an average tax rate of 18%. But your marginal tax rate or tax bracket is actually 24%.
17% Federal income tax...PLUS FICA/SS at 7%... if you have state ~5%. = 30%... is $70,000 a year or $5,800 a month living where rent is 2k a month.

Edit: Before anyone talks about buying...median home values are high.

Title is a bit misleading, it's not 31% of Americans are making 100k. It's 31% of those who make 100k feel/say they are living paycheck to paycheck.

I can fully understand if you live in a location where making 100k is not that significant due to a higher cost of living, having students loans, child support, etc... When I was making 50k, I wasn't paycheck to paycheck. I learned then how to budget, save and live within my means. Most likely due to growing up in poverty, having financial discipline and savings was always important to me.

I see too many people live above their income, fake struggling.

Looking at 3 stacks a month between housing, car payments and car insurance. Add in gas, groceries, contributions to retirement plans

:francis:

If you have kids those expenses go up. Forgot about life insurance, home insurance, internet and phone bills. Wooooooooo

These companies are eating though.

Who has the food bank data? Still record highs over there too.
