yeah if you can see it & you ain't really looking for it then you know the people who get paid to dig up in your biddness know what you got going on

basically nikkas be tryna play two sports at once

if you tryna eat in the music industry & in the streets same time get ready for the worst type of belly ache because them two meals don't mix ya digggggggggg

*

I actually liked this dude music, too...

Here's the central issue to me, alot of these rap dudes are living extended childhoods and don't know how to proceed and progress. I dont know what distorted the vision that the streets aren't a forever game, if its the social media era or what. Because it feels like the eras of the pre-2010s/pre-social media rappers, there was a basic understanding that you can't successfully do both...

So I dont know if its social media pressure of dudes exposing themselves mostly for other men or what, but its embarrassing. Lotta these dudes aren't some young kids (Lucci is 30). At some point in any era, maturation as a man is supposed to occur and you start moving differently to protect your actual investments. These dudes are full grown man-children living extended childhoods to look dope and a ton of it is a facade, most these nikkas don't have the level of money they intimate they have, most these nikkas wasn't front liners, and I think that's the other distinction too...

Its easier now more than ever, and has been since the mid-10s/rise of drill culture, to perpetuate an existence based on cool street ideology. Its easier to expose, its easier to exaggerate if you have involvement, and its easier to fabricate of you had little to no involvement at all. It's all about image, and popularity funds that image, cats with nothing to stand on are living like this every day and you have rap nikkas still wanting to be involved (if they came from it) or pretending to be involved when they have all sorts of gates, doors, and avenues open to navigate away from those circumstances...

Its a game to these nikkas, and thats the part I think really bothers me. Its a game until you get yourself tied up, then the general ignorance of the public can plead for how you just got roped into some shyt that didn't really involve you. The general public doesn't recognize its a game with actual consequences that millions of brothers live and die thru daily because most of those cats can't glorify their way to stardom outside of it...

These are the dudes young nikkas look up to and call OGs, and this aspect has always been around for sure, but every hood I know there was always a balance somewhere, there was always someone outside saying if you fukk with them, you're gonna get everything they get too, thats the bad with the good. It just feels like there's no gatekeeping anymore...

These dudes gotta smarten up. He's probably done for awhile. Hope he uses it to serve his life in a better direction and realize everything he's giving up by wanting to play big homie in the hood...

its an invented catch-all law meant for the MAFIA (i.e. not ambiguous black street gangs but actual multinational elite subversive well organized and connected orgs) to basically criminalize grasping at straws.

Essentially the government couldn't prosecute mafia members cause their obvious criminality couldn't be directly traced so "racketeering" is just ... doing dirt.

Its insane.

Now they're just hitting random "gangs" with it and giving dudes football numbers when weaker cases fall apart.

Im no lawyer but its as close as you can come to a court of public opinion in this case. You dont even have to directly have done the crime but its essentially "you're a member of a group we said is bad so you're bad"

Yeah. But why not indict a group of boy scouts then?

These are such poor faith arguments...

Look, even amongst gang culture, in the real world there is (at least there used to be) an understanding that the more you openly affiliate with other criminals, the more attention you attract. This doesn't mean everyone gives a fukk because they don't but there's a clear understanding, so if I know this and I'm affiliated then I have to watch how closely I affiliate, that goes on both the street and the judicial end...

The problem is everyone wants the glorification of being aligned with the big money getting set, or the known killers. Dudes want that stamp on their name and I get that, but you also get what comes with that. RICO is part of what potentially comes with that...

You ain't getting roped into no fukking RICO for being a boy scout or even loosely affiliating with somebody, and all the information is out here for these smart-dumb nikkas to learn how to sidestep this shyt but they'd rather use all the technology at their fingertips to gloat about who they affiliate with...

RICO been hitting gangs for decades, its not "random", they not swooping on random packs of brothers in a hood to indict. This apologizing for brothers instead of continually raising the bar of accountability is part of the bigger issue, its all a game til these dudes get popped then we're looking for reasons to help them skate...

Young Thug move different breh. Lucci still going on missions for Christ sakes smh. I done seen Lucci on my block chilling with some lil nikkas cause his studio right on my block. You’ll probably never see Thug in the middle of downtown just chilling like that. Seem like Lucci be tryna be “outside” too much when he don’t have to. I think Thug way more out of sight and out of mind, but please believe the state/feds will jam his ass up too if they get the chance.
