I think the Bears are a good situation

However, his dad has been dropping crumbs since the fall against going to a bad situation (poor ownership, etc)

They had a chance to slam dunk that shyt to Cowherd. Saying things like I've love to be a Bear. I've love to play for Eberflus. Instead his reps said we dont want to be seen as a villain and there's a chance that it could work.

He wants to go #1. If its the Bears so be it. Saying he doesnt love the idea of playing for the Bears doesnt mean he hates the idea of playing for him. However, in most cases QBs are all in about who they are going to and the people in charge.

it would be very weird for his "camp" to specifically mention Eberflus or outright say he would love to play for a specific team

they did shut that Cowerd stuff down, they called him and made him retract his words on his show the next day

this idea of Caleb not wanting to be in Chicago so is comically overblown

All I know is next season, barring injury, the Bears better not finish with an equal or worse record than 7-10 next season. Honestly, they should make the playoffs next season. They were already trending that way, and if everyone says Caleb is a big upgrade, he better lead us to the playoffs if we draft him.
