Harbaugh was gonna run it back with Michigan anyway. If he doesnā€™t beat Ohio State again next year, heā€™s coming back to the NFL.

Flus on a one year trial wonā€™t be so bad. It sets us up to get Harbaugh after next season. Hiring a new coach this offseason would prohibit that. Chances of Caleb having a year like C.J. Stroud next season are slim. Hopefully, heā€™ll have Harbaugh as the Bears coach for the start of the 2025 season.

If the Bears do anything next year, itā€™ll be off the strength of the defense. Eberflus can take some of the credit for that improvement. One more year of him leading them wonā€™t be the end of the world. Iā€™m not hoping for a subpar year, I just donā€™t expect improvement with a rookie qb, even if it is Caleb Williams.

I want the Bears to get a proven head coach for the next decade plus. Rolling the dice on an unproven coach is what theyā€™ve done too often with no success.

Harbaugh 2025

Watching more film on Caleb (basically those "every throw" videos), I really think the goto move is to go pure offense for right now.
Build the OL first.
Then find your weapons.
That should be your main focus: make the game as easy as possible for them as a baseline and let them turn on their nuclear ceiling when they need to.
Unless you have an undeniable defender staring you in the face when you're picking the next couple/few drafts, go offense (heavy emphasis on the OL).
Dude is so good at drawing defenses off-sides and selling the play-action, terrific at keeping the other team's defense off-balance.

If you do that with a quarterback like Caleb, you'll be around contention windows for a long time. You want to be that team who's offense other teams want to keep off the field, while you have a defense who can make a critical stop when they need to.

When ya'll got the first pick.

Been a Caleb fan for a minute, I think the guy is a special talent but I want to see dude go to a good situation. If ya'll make that pick it got to be done right.

If not, I hope he goes somewhere else to utilize what he brings to the field and gets catered to like a #1 pick and the franchise cornerstone.

All my sports teams are LA teams but I still rock with some key players afterwards.

I dont think our OL is in the bad spot people from the outside seem to think.

We have young, established talent at LT (Braxton Jones - perhaps not great, but overall solid), LG (Teven Jenkins - potential all pro but some health concerns), RT (Darnell Wright - high end elite talent that is coming off a strong rookie year), - and our RG (Nate Davis) is a steady vet.

We DESPERATELY need a center. And like any team, we need to add some depth at OL.

Our OL is not in shambles by any means IMO, it needs improvement but its coming together - good lord we need a Center tho

Yeah that's facts. Seriously has been the dream killer for so many good teams otherwise. Nearly every team I really liked that fell short basically had that issue.

If you guys do have a good OL and you can get depth on it, then that's more than you can ask for. You'd then have more options to take shots on key talent with your picks.
