Don't think it was him, but maybe it was? I just remember some stupid circus with both 2nd and 3rd backups.
They always love the backups. I think it was the NFC Championship game when Cutler got hurt. He wasnt playing great that game as it was, but when he didnāt come back in the game, everyone was calling him soft, not knowing the severity of the injury. Todd Collins comes in and he SUCKS. Enter Caleb Hanie. He comes in and he plays ok, but not great, but we still lose the game. Fans wanted Hanie to be the starter. I think he got his chance to start a few games the following season when Cutler got hurt again, and he sucked.You know it kills me to see caping on Reddit, talking about how the pocket collapsed and he wasn't able to step into the throw for distance, so it ain't his fault. Like yeah breh, you got more of that coming with this O-Line.Just be happy he didn't start because Flores was revving the chainsaw most of the game. Nobody here will succeed behind center with the current coaching staff.
And don't get me wrong, I'm sure Bagent can be built up to some degree, but it's repeating to always want the backup QB until they play a few games. Most recently, it was when Mitch Trubisky got benched for Nick Foles (Trubisky wasnāt injured, but was playing terrible). Foles comes in and he leads us to a victory. Nagy named him the starter. Foles proceeds to suck and Trubisky gets his starting job back

Iām curious if the coaching staff even watched footage from when they played each other last year. Bears were in a position to tie the game until one of our receivers tried to get extra yards and got stripped of the ball. Fields played decent in that game too. Why this coaching staff goes away from things that work, I never understandā¦

I think that play in slowmo shows some execution issues. If Fields drifts, he buys maybe a split second to allow Moore to fully rotate. Otherwise, as is, Blasingame is the logical solution for the pass, but that is me being able to see the future in a video.
In real time he's taking the sack more times than not since by the time Moore starts curling it is already too late for a throw to him.
