Really did notice the 2nd and 3rd point u made....I was like is there any other receiver other than Travis.

Horn Jr. is a speedster that should eat every week in college. I'm not sure what's going on with the defense because on paper it looked like they'd be improved and they look even worse than last year.

Deion is a great recruiter, he's a guy that is great with kids and kids wanna play for him but as an X's and O's guy I don't know about that yet

It's funny cause I've only watched this team a couple of times. And in actually surprised how good they are.

That game should have been a super blow out.
Nebraska didn't score in the entire second half.
And Colorados defense was on the field alot in the first half cause the offense wasn't getting first downs.

The issue is there's no way a father can coach his son at a position like QB. He's gonna put his interest over the team in some ways.

That pick 6, was the first play being backed up on ur own goal line.
U run that MFing ball twice. I don't care how your running game is going.
The next possession after that, u run the ball to settle down ur QB and your team.
Nope, they started throwing again.

But all and all they had multiple opportunities to score at the end of the first half and they kept them from scoring in the second half. So the score of the game isn't really indictive of how the game really went

Folks that watch the sport tried to warn people.

There has to be more substance to his “flash.”

You got a recognizable name and face, plus you’re unique in that you’re the “greatest” at his position (CB) black, and grew up and got it out the mud. That should be an EASY recruiting pitch. But when you tell cats “you know where to find me” and play like the recruiting trail is secondary, this is the result. Gotta give up that pride and get these young boys in your program then supplement that with portal talent…that’s the game now. These young talented kids want to be wined and dined. They wanna be driven around Boulder and the CU campus in Sheduer Rolls Royce.

He’s not recruiting and openly saying he basically isn’t. That’s a death knoll in this sport, don’t care WHO the name is. Plus, he’s not good beyond his top 3 guys. But when those O and D lines aren’t up to par, it won’t matter much anyway bc it starts and ends in the trenches that’s basically it
100%.

Prime acts like he just wanted to get Shedeur to a P5 program BUT ALSO be in charge so that he could work to inflate his draft stock on a big stage.

Did he ever plan on being at CU past Travis/Shedeur leaving for the NFL?

the thing is in college you don't even have to be an X&Os head coach and can just be a CEO and leave that to the DC and OC like his college coach did. BUT you have to be an elite recruiter and have elite recruiters on staff. the portal is feast or famine and it looks like colorado is starving. high school recruiting has to be your bread and butter and it isn't even close to being that for prime.

to quote kirby smart

"Guys...if you don't recruit, there is no coach out there that can out-coach recruiting. I don't care who you are."

"The best coach to ever play the game, better be a good recruiter because no coach is going to out-coach players."

"It's 25% evaluation, 50% recruiting, and another 25% is going to be coaching, but if you don't recruit, you've got not chance."

You know what he sound alright like not a bullshytter

I was rooting hard for him last year but there are so many important lessons to be learned from this:

1. You can't just gut your team, try 100% turnover, and expect things to run. You need stability and continuity, especially in the trenches.

2. Teammates need to build together and learn to trust each other. Don't just run to the transfer portal and get plug-in talent, you have to develop young players so they grow up in the program.

3. Linemen are just as important as skill positions, don't neglect them.

4. Unless you grew up play-calling your whole career, then don't take that on as a head coach. Get coordinators who are experts at it.

“Acts?” Nah, nobody “acting” for that long.

That’s exactly what he wanted. Raise his sons’ and Travis profile and get a major pay raise…he thought he was gonna come in and be “Deion” in this coaching ish…nah son. The best in THIS biz recruit and do it with passion and nonstop. This nikka thought it was gonna be like Steve Spurrier, come in have a high-flying offense and golf/do commercials the other 6-8 months…nah son, it AIN’T like that

Nebraska went into shell coverage in second half…trust, it could’ve been worse…

I don’t follow college football as much with the portal and transfers and shyt. But what is the end game for Deion here - is he just coaching until his sons graduate? Is he trying to be a long term coach for Colorado? Whole setup seems like a gimmick to me

EDIT - I see both of his sons graduate this year. Is Deion still coaching this team next year?

Nah... Cause the first half was more a matter of Colorados offensive line not giving them a chance to move the ball and be competitive. Which made their defense have to work harder.

And 7 of that 28 came off a pick 6 and another 7 could have been a pick 6 going the other way for Colorado.

This is definitely one of those games where the score doesn't tell the true story

Man, he coaching like shyt. It ain’t the talent it’s the coaching.

They ran the ball 11 times. The back they refuse to use average 6 yards per carry. Deion don’t want to run and it’s hurting his line play as well. Deion is a trash coach
Why would you run when you have a heisman candidate and future top 3 pick at QB??
