We'll be out here this weekend too. Already have a date with my daughters to hit the nursery tomorrow to buy some citronella plants cause fukk these Texas mosquitoes.
Purple elephant ears came back with a vengeance from last year, being disresptful to the other plants in the flower bed though...

Also one of the banana trees finally sprouted some bananas! There's about 5 hands there and more coming
:obama:
I didn't even kno there was a such thing as citronella plants:leon:

I usually cop the candles:heh:

My tulips came up mad early this year and the daffodils haven't even come up yet. Last year they came up at the same time

There's a few plants that repel mosquitoes, catnip being one. I don't need a whole bunch of cats congregating over here pissin on my other plants and making my dog mad.

7 Proven Benefits of Quercetin (#1 is Incredible) - Dr. Axe

2. Fights Allergies

Quercetin is a natural antihistamine and an anti-inflammatory, making it effective for naturally lowering the effects of season and food allergies, plus asthma and skin reactions. Histamines are chemicals that are released when the immune system detects an allergy or sensitivity, and they are what account for uncomfortable symptoms we face whenever the body has an allergic reaction.

Quercetin can help stabilize the release of histamines from certain immune cells, which results in decreased symptoms like coughs, watery eyes, runny noses, hives, swollen lips or tongue, and indigestion. In fact, it’s so effective that quercetin is used in ancient Chinese herbal formulas created to block allergies to certain foods (such as peanuts), known as food allergy herbal formulas. Studies show that quercetin, a natural medicine and phytochemical, is equivalent at fighting allergies as some prescription medications, all with little to no side effects. (7)

I hate yard work but gardening is great. We got a couple messicans that come through twice a month to handle the maintenance. $85/mo is worth it to me to not have to deal with the boring stuff and so that i can instead focus on working on what we're growing. I just finished up planting a bunch of veggies and building a fence for our planter boxes since some critters ate up the shyt that we planted a couple weeks ago.
