I'm not a NYer so I don't have a dog in the race tbh

It seems like Stringer should win, right?

Stringer is trying to align himself with DSA locally. However, that seems to be more of a political calculation instead of what he actually believes.Will be interesting to see if that get exposed.

Right now with COVID this race hasn't really shaped up yet

$1000 per month is more than what most people get per month in benefits, other than seniors

In NYC Snap benefits and a Section 8 voucher is well in excess of 1k a month in benefits.
Also, it seems Yang is talking 1-5k for a year in his pilot program in NYC.

Libertarians would be happy with UBI if it means "cost savings" that destroys what's left of American’s social safety net

Yea, he's the front runner imo. My worry is he's too far in the establishment, I'd like someone progressive but that's a long shot.

Then you should inquire if his UBI means abolishing those benefits before listing him out.

I'm not saying that's his stance atm. The question was why do some people view him as a libertarian. I merely listed the sentiments he shared in interviews that have people wary. You jumped to too many conclusion. Are you yang gang?

I think it's a stretch to call him a minarchist, he seems to be into government programs even if he has a different approach than the Bernie types.
