Where you do your grocery shoppin'?

One store I miss here in Decatur, that is a staple in Chicago is Jewel. We ain't had a Jewel since the damn 90s. I took it for granted:sadcam: They turned one into a damn CVS and Millikin University bought the property where the other one was at.

When we go to Bloomington, I try to make a stop in Jewel

jewels is too expensive even tho it's two blocks away. food 4 less is right across the street from jewel. but aldis is like 2 blocks from both, so I shop there and costco/sam's primarily

I ONLY do jewels when they have good sales. I have the app. last summer they had king crab for like $15 a lb. I had like 3 crab feast off king crab last summer :noah:

when u remove the air, meat cannot spoil or be freezer burned. that's why this shyt is life changing. u can buy hella meat on sale and keep it indefinitely in your freezer :win:

I can't say I ever had my any of my food go bad in the freezer.
I got a steak that got a sale by date of last year and dunno if I should chance it :lupe:

What’s the longest after the sell by date you cooked meat and it was still good? :jbhmm:

Looks like the anova i have is going for $100 now, and there’s cheaper brands for as low as $50. A sous vide isnt really necessary of course, but i really do enjoy the speed, efficiency, and consistency that it offers for frozen foods.
I looked that sous vide joint up and it was over $500 :damn:
