The ones we see now are definitely NOT C-137. There's no actual proof that the Earth that got cronenberged was Earth C-137 either. Rick smoothly took over another Rick's life right after that, so it's a strong possibility that he took over the Rick's life in the universe this Morty is from too

Pretty good review. I don't agree that this was the worst episode, but I could see wanting more of Beth's past filled out (I just assumed it'd happen more in the future when we find out about her mom tbh). I think they're a bit harsh on little sociopath Beth too...Rick turns everyone into a sociopath with his inventions and the freedom he gives people. Morty had the same kinda "I'm not crazy" stuff before the purge episode and again in the coliseum while Summer went straight murder rage to cope with the divorce. Other than that, they kinda nailed it. These episodes are overloaded with content to unpack, but it works really well...rewatchability like crazy. I still got the toxins episode as the weakest one imo, this one wasn't with the best eps of the season but I feel like I'll rewatch it more than American Psycho Morty.

Plus ya forgetting how many times Rick died n switched bodies in the season premiere too. (The bugs, the council of Rick soldiers/ship mates.). Then even in the "Spa" episode, him and Booger Rick killed each other and brought themselves back from tha dead.

Yea I kind of agree with that review in that they were overzealous in terms of Beth's story arch ....but on the flip they've kind of alluded to Beth taking after Rick with the Alcoholism .... The thing about Ricks sociopathic behaviour is its somewhat justified by his understanding of the universe and that humanises Rick....But I guess we can assume that Beth is who she is because of her abandonment issues and well like you said, Rick has a Midas touch....

It wasn't as funny as other episodes it was more dark and weird. I still enjoyed it but it was more fukked up than usual

100%, Rick's crazy is explained by his understanding of the multiverse; everyone else got their crazy from Rick himself imo.

Yeah, I can definitely feel that for the main story especially. I found the B story with Jerry and the kids hilarious though, so that made up for the laughs on my end. The whole rebound with an alien angle bodied me. But I feel yall on how dark and awkward it all was, Frumpyland or whatever was FOUL.

When Beth and tommy was going thru the door the random muppet going "don't do it"

Morty saying "oh la la" when them aliens they were hunting said they not hiding they nesting



Plus the whole, If your life comes down to it hump make believe creatures to produce offspring to survive
