With the previous seasons each having a hiatus of their own in some way, fans had been curious as to whether or not the same would happen this time around. With the newest season seemingly setting up for a grand finale that would finally tie back into the events of the first episode of the new season, fans already wanted to know what was next.
But it seems like fans are going to have to wait a bit in order to see how the rest of the season plays out as Adult Swim has announced that Rick and Morty Season 6 will be going on hiatus from now until November 20th. This means it will be six more weeks before the series returns for the final four episodes of the new season, and now fans will have time to "expand your mind in preparation for the rest of the season" according to the announcement. Adult Swim's official announcement for the hiatus can be found below:
If you wanted to catch up with Rick and Morty's episodes so far, you can now find the first five seasons of the series now streaming on Hulu and HBO Max. Adult Swim is the worst. How are you going to take six weeks off with four episodes left? Not even Starz is that bad with their scheduling.
What makes it worse is that they're making episodes at a much faster pace than they used to, but Adult Swim feels the need to space them out way more than before. If they tried pulling this in 2017 when the show was at its peak, people would have started riots.
