…and before you say “You can’t tell people what to do with their hard earned mon…”, that’s cool, of course you can’t, I’m asking should they…Shouldn’t they??? Shouldn’t they want to? What type of person are you to not if you’re a billionaire or anywhere even in the vicinity? I mean donate in excess too, not just some PR little ish. These dudes could really change the world if they pooled them massive, insane resources and dollars and tried to change things.
I just saw a headline of Jay-z wearing an 8 million dollar watch and everybody in the comments is on some “
Jayz is the man yo!!!” timing…that’s fine…but I’m sure a lot of them commentators are taking the city bus to work at GameStop or sumn today…they don’t even make enough to have a car and an apartment and live relatively comfortably as an employed US citizen, which is disgusting…but they have the time to marvel at Jayz’s watch. Give me 100-500 million and superstardom and a worldwide platform…damn near every time you see me or hear me speak it’s gonna be on some bettering the lives of the people/my people shyt, not just some light in the ass positive quotes and sound bytes…you’re gonna see tedious effort. Not because I have to…because I want to. How couldn’t you?
Jayz has every right to buy what he wants, don’t get me wrong…but what is he doing to better the lives of others with those billions of dollars? Not just him…all the super duper Up Up dudes who made a career for themselves broadcasting and, more often than not, glamorizing, the impoverished and fukked up and violent and miserable communities they came from and what they had to do to survive/eat in those conditions, etc… If anyone should want to give and help fix that until they’re tired it should be them…no? Like wtf are these guys doing for real? SMH.
Or is empathy and wanting to help Yours some corny shyt…because it’s their money and they can do whatever they want with it and y’all will still deify these guys because they’re cool?
. If so that’s what up…I’m just asking how yall feel about it.
